Why We Built the Helios ACL Testing Network At the Helios ACL Project, we specialize in remote ACL coaching. From day one I wanted to maximize our impact on every ACLer we work with. But somewhere along the way I learned something I did not want to learn. This mission is too big for just us. I know that because I failed J. J's Story J had a rocky recovery. When she started working with us she was six months post op, but she moved like she was eight weeks post op. Her knee had personality. It was reactive, unpredictable, quick to flare. It took a laser focused approach just to get her to a place where she could tolerate real strength building. We put in the work. Month after month, we rebuilt her knee and her confidence right alongside it. She earned every inch of that progress. Then it was time for objective testing, so I found a clinic in her area. On paper it was state of the art. Anything you could want, they had it. We sent clear instructions. Just strength test her. That is not what happened. They ran her through eight different tests. Many of them involved jumping. None of them measured strength the way we asked. Her knee reacted the way an unprepared knee reacts. It swelled up like a balloon. She was failed by the system again. And she was failed by me, because I did not protect her. The Real Problem J's setback was not a fluke. It was proof of something ACLers run into constantly. Having the right equipment does not mean a clinic understands ACL recovery. A clinic can look impressive and still miss the basics. Athlete centered marketing does not always mean athlete centered care. ACLers deserve better than hoping a clinic gets it right. They deserve to know exactly who to get tested by and how to find good testing wherever they are in their recovery. That is why we built this testing network. What This Network Is For This platform exists to give every ACLer, no matter where they live, access to objective data that actually guides their recovery. Not data collected the wrong way, at the wrong time, by someone who does not understand what an ACL knee needs. Real information, gathered safely, that tells you the truth about where you stand. It is also a platform for education. The more ACLers and clinicians understand what good testing looks like, the higher the bar rises for everyone. That is how the standard of care changes. Not through one clinic, or one coach, but through a network that keeps raising the floor. This is just the beginning. It will keep growing, because ACLers deserve to get back to the lives they want, and that only happens when the people testing them actually know what they are doing.

Help Us Build It We are committed to continuous growth, which means this network gets better when the people using it tell us what is missing. If you notice something that would make this platform stronger, tell us. That is not a suggestion box we glance at once a quarter. That is how this gets built. Email your feature requests directly to thehelioswellness@gmail.com. J deserved a system that protected her the first time. Every ACLer after her deserves a network built so that never happens again.
